We are proud to announce that after several months of work, our Vietnam Scoping Report has just been published! We hope you will learn a lot by reading it!

In addition, we recently organised an event in Bhimavaram, India, where we engaged with local shrimp farmers to discuss the impact of stress on shrimps. The event was a great success and we were pleased to have signed partnerships with several farmers.

Furthermore, we attended and presented at various events, providing us with the opportunity to connect with interesting individuals and organisations.

Our Vietnam Scoping Report is out!

This report discusses shrimp welfare, why Vietnam was chosen as a scoping country and our findings after measuring water quality on shrimp farms and holding discussions with several stakeholders in the shrimp supply chain.

We recently organised an event in Bhimavaram, the thriving shrimp farming hub in India, in collaboration with Fish Welfare Initiative and SBiotics, a local aqua lab. The event was attended by about 35 farmers who learned about the early indicators of disease in shrimps and how to reduce stress levels. We also discussed the importance of appropriate stocking densities and how they can benefit animals, farmers and the overall industry.

Moreover, we were pleased to have signed MoUs with several farmers, which will allow us to expand our network and deepen our impact in the area. We are excited about the opportunities ahead and look forward to continuing our efforts to promote sustainable and humane practices in the shrimp farming industry.

We've been busy attending and presenting at various events over the past few months. Here are some highlights:

• Aaron, our CIO, gave a talk at an event hosted by Effective Altruism Manchester in which he explored the hows and whys of starting a high-impact nonprofit. 

• At EAGx Cambridge, Aaron discussed the reasons why we believe that 2023 will be a crucial year for the advancement of shrimp welfare.

• Andrés, our CEO, attended EA Global Bay Area. We were happy to see that shrimp welfare was a hot topic among attendees, and excited to discover that one attendee created and distributed hats to raise awareness about this topic!

We're grateful for the opportunities we've had to connect with like-minded individuals and organisations at these events, and we're looking forward to more in the months to come.
